I don't remember how I found out about this artist (probably here on
Audities, so thank you, whoever you are!) but I am really enjoying Brent
Cash's HOW WILL I KNOW I'M AWAKE.

I know nothing of the guy's background, but this CD's main touchstones are
mid-period Brian Wilson, early Todd Rundgren and even a bit of the
Association. I'm also reminded of more recent artists like June & The Exit
Wounds, Linus of Hollywood, Roger Manning, Allen Clapp and that ilk.
Gorgeous melodies, great singing, surprising full production, layered
harmonies, everything that floats my "Sunshine Pop" boat --I have a whole
fleet of musical boats-- but without the emptiness of the by-rote
genre-trodding of lesser efforts. The songs are strong and they stay with
you.

Fans of any of the artists I mentioned above should at least check out
Cash's MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/brentcashmusic

I just wish he had put a question mark after that title. Bugs me that it's
not there.
