That was the other problem - multiple versions were never straightened out
(by the time I stopped anyway).
I lived through the artwork wars (fart/bart) and the ever-changing rules,
and then the secret society of moderators...i started to sense that this had
become mailbox money for them and the whole "community" thing went away.
Plus I remember being angered over the hesitancy to back up the promise of
paying the artists...which seemed to somehow morph into "lets make streaming
radio stations" and "lets host bands we like in studio". Not that those two
quoted goals aren't worthy, but they're not the charitable endeavor that was
advertised.
I believe lala suffered from what I like to call "business Tourette's"...
