Mike:
I remember the Whale's ill-fated Cooperalls all too well. There were a rash
of young copycats in my youth hockey league not long afterwards. I also
vividly remember how much stick we used to take for our disco-era theme
song. Still, it really got the crowd going when they took to the ice.
And you Flyers fans ... and that Rat Patrol line. Between them and the
Bruins ... boy they got under our skins. :)

JLM

Hey Jon -

As an old-time hockey fan myself, I'd have to say that the Whalers' "Brass
Bonanza" was one of the coolest team theme songs that I can think of.

I attended a few Whalers games at the old Hartford Civic Center on a bus
trip with the Flyers' Fan Club back in the 80's and I always thought that
song was awesome.

Plus, the Whalers were the only franchise with the guts to join the Flyers
by wearing the long pants uniform. Remember that? LOL.

Old-time hockey... Eddie Shore... ;-)
