I am currently obsessing over the recent release by the Chicago group Scotland yard gospel choir. They are a chamber rock outfit with a cool folk rock sound that sounds well ... Scottish. They have refined their music since their first album, and this is a quiet, moving gem. Can't stop playing it. 2 excellent lead singers, my favorite is Ellen , who has a sweet gentle lilt and also plays cello. Standouts are "Aspidistra" "In Hospital" and "Pins and Needles". Also the closing song "Everything you paid for" with it's swirling keyboards is worth hearing. 2 of those are on their myspace. See what you think.
