Subject seeking record label suggestions

I'm beginning the legwork of putting together a compilation of American
Underground/Indie
from the 80s.  My ambitions are high for this project. Some of the artists I
hope to include
are REM, Rain Parade, True West, Let's Active, Replacements, Lazy Cowgirls,
Dumptruck,
The Feelies... to lesser-known, yet criminally overlooked bands like The
Nils, The Mice,
Jet Black Berries, Eleventh Dream Day, 28th Day, and many others.

Obviously I need to deal w/ licensing and finding a good label to handle
distribution,
marketing, promo etc. I've struck out with Rhino (no surprise!).

Anybody have any other record label suggestions?
