Count me in as a huge Ambrosia fan. Love the first two albums the best but each one had some gems.
I have to agree it's not really Power Pop in the classic sense, but there's plenty there that should appeal to Power Pop fans. I always felt the second album was almost a template for Jellyfish... I got to see them in a "reunion" show in Portland a few years back (In fact I seem to remember them saying it was their first show outside of LA for decades...) when it was the full lineup icluding David Pack. It was a great show and they were all in top form. They played Drink of Water which, for my money has one of the best B3 solos ever. I was disappointed when I found out Pack had left... His replacement "Shem" (I think) was good, but it just didn't seem to have the same spark... (YMMV)
