I love them too. In fact, the only other list that I'm on is Ambrosia's
"Travellers" (although that's near dormant these days). I think the
closest they came to power pop was parts of ONE EIGHTY, with the trio of
songs that start that album - "Ready", "Shape I'm In" and "Kamikaze".
That album is my favorite of theirs - just edging out their self-titled
debut. I put "Shape I'm In" on a SOTT a few years back.
They are headlining a prog-rock festival called RoSFest in May here in
the Philadelphia area, and I'm looking forward to that. David Pack has
left the group, but I've always enjoyed Joe Puerta's songs just as much.
I think they are an underrated, overlooked band - mostly because of
their big MOR hits "You're the Only Woman" and "Biggest Part of Me",
also both from ONE EIGHTY. I've only seen them once, about 10 years
ago, right before Pack left, and they put on a very good show.
