I've seen Butch on every tour since he went solo and I have to agree.  He's grown increasingly emo and a bit cliche in his theatrics.  Still, his shows at the Elbo Room and Abbey Pub in Chicago are close to the best live shows I've seen.
 
The new DVD should show a more rockin' side, but just listening to the audio there are a few WTF-type moments.
