Bob:
I'll draw a bright line on athletics because the use of
performance-enhancing substances materially affects the outcome of the
game/match/contest. And you take a driver off the road because he's impaired
by alcohol/substances.
But it seems silly to me to suggest that someone not be recognized for their
artistic endeavors because they might be/have used illicit substances is
kinda silly. Based on that logic (and without casting judgment on the
morality/healthiness of it), most of the artists/musicians/writers ever
recognized for anything would be disqualified out of the gate.
