First of all, you put a race to the genres...not me. There are as many white/hispanic/male/female artists in those musical genre's as anything else. Britney and Amy come to mind immediately.
And second...why do we use those drug/alcohol rules for drivers/athletes/teachers/police/etc, and ignore them for musicians?
Yeah...in the '60's a LOT of music was fueled by drugs...but don't we know better now?...or does being a musician/artist make you exempt from a lesson learned?

Boy, if we start kicking out musicians for drinking too much/drugging too
much/living too much ... I guess ...
well ... hmmm .... there won't be any left. And I didn't realize that living
to excess was ethno-racial specific ...

I keep forgetting that "Sgt. Pepper" was fueled entirely by a diet of soy
milk, rice cakes and healthy living.
