I don't find her anything more than another hipster diversion.
Truth is, our society tests athletes for drugs and strip them of their awards and stop them from participating if they come up positive.
I wonder what would happen to Hot AC/CHR/Urban/Hip Hop catagories for awards and shows if the same criteria would be put forth.
Winehouse, for one, would be a cocktail waitress if that were so...

That is easy. I find her voice annoying, where others hear something positive
and real, I hear someone who is trying so hard to sound soulful.
I have listened to both albums, and while I have never seen
her live, I have seen video footage online and on DVD. To my ears it all
sounds like a put on, very affected.
I have stated these reason before on the list. I do like the
music and arrangements on her new CD, I just wish someone else was
singing.
