I don't know what it is, but people LOVE freaks. From Little Richard, and Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Tiny Tim and Elton John and Michael Jackson, to our 2 current trainwrecks, Amy and Britney.
Lots of talent there, but it was always the freak show that got everyone interested.
If there was a so-so singer out there with an arm growing out of his forehead, chances are good he'd sell a lot of records...
