I've been lurking for, like, many, many months. A few quick items:

Audities - I will miss you, it has meant a lot to me over the years. In
fact, it changed my musical life, and thus my life.

Michael - thanks a bazillion for the list!

Sarah - kudos for starting a new list!

FOW - great great great records, but I agree with the consensus on the
performances. Not that I thought the band members were bored, but after
seeing them 3 times, I'm done. I just didn't get that super thrill of
seeing a highly engaging live act, and the show is predictable. They do
play and sing pretty well live, though.

I'd much rather meet Andy Partridge in the deli than Lou Reed.

Just listened to "What Do You Want From Life" by the Tubes for the first
time in decades. What a fab song! Any suggestions on Tube LPs for
someone who's only heard this song and the couplea big radio hits they
had in the 80s? I prefer WDYWFLife to the 80s stuff, by the way.

The Tubes remind me of a great mix tape I had from about 1981. What
ever happened to David Werner (Can't Imagine), Starz (Cherry Baby), and
Fotomaker? Boy, Grin had some great songs...

Glad to hear that R J Manning has a new CD coming!

Am enjoying some early J Giels right now for that hi adrenaline R&B rock
fix. Rapuda Da Beauta indeed!
