I agree...Matt, your story is pretty cool. It's one thing to meet people like that at a 'meet and greet', in-store appearance, backstage at some radio promo, etc.
It's another to meet them completely out of context and unexpectedly.

I was once in a book store in the Pittsburgh airport, and who do I see across the way, in the vitamin store? Ray Davies. I was knocked out. So I waited until he came out, went up to him (he was completely alone), extended my hand and told him I was a big fan and all that (called him "Mr. Davies", natch).

He was extremely gracious, thanked me and then quickly moved me along after a nice handshake. Like a smooth politician, in a good way.

Meeting Raymond Douglas outside the GNC vitamin store in Pittsburgh was almost a big a thrill as seeing him live.
