I've hit the repeat button with these 2 bands this week.
The Alarmists CD, The Ghost and The Hired Gun, was released last summer but I only got my hands on it recently as a belated birthday gift. They're a Mpls based band and I look forward to hear more from them. You can hear a little bit of Wilco, maybe even some Jayhawks too.

Chester French are a duo originally from Boston and now based in LA. They blend some 60s pop with dashes of techno and dance. Maybe I'm off completely off base but some of "She Loves Everybody" reminds me of The Zombies. Pharrell Williams signed them to the Star Trak/Interscope label and they've done some hip hop remixes (for Slim Thug and Jay-Z).
