Hey Auditeers,

I can't believe this list is shutting down. I joined looooong ago...95 maybe?

I did a lot of lurking, but this list has provided me a great music education, and connected me with some fine people of all kinds.

For those of you booking, radio and press folks who've supported me in my own adventures as a pop songwriter, many thanks to you all. Because of this list I've booked cool shows from Austin to Minneapolis to Sweden and Finland and between, met other independent artists, got lots and lots of reviews online and in print, and got some attention on radio shows around the world. Just by observing the discussions and watching the movements of other bands, I've been given many great ideas to keep myself afloat as a full-time musician for the past ten years. Writers and bloggers and radio hosts, please email me off list if you've yet to hear my most recent project "Best of the 20th Century" and I'll get one to you very soon.

There are always topics that I intend to address on this list, but I never have the time to do it. Even though we're pretty much out of time, my topics would be:

+ Have y'all tried www.lala.com? I love love love it. I've finally acquired dozens of weird and rare CDs that I've been searching in bins for forever. It's killed my CD-store visiting habit, but I've finally got those records! Plus I've traded away piles of junk that I couldn't get a dime for at a used CD store. Lala.com is beautiful.

+ finally, here's a list of my most essential power-pop recordings, in no particular order
