No, the synth is a fairly recent development.  RADIO HITS ONE and 
RADIO HITS TWO are probably the band at their best, and you won't go 
wrong with either one.

Incidentally, all three RADIO HITS collections are available on 
eMusic, and therefore sample-able.

So then perhaps one of the Radio Hits would be a better start.I only 
picked the latest because I thought it would show the band at their 
best.But if it doesn't matter then maybe a singles collection could be 
more fun.Are they all synth-poppy?
