I with Michael on this. I assume that while most Audities members enjoy listening to "Beatles/Rasberries/jangly/power pop", they probably do not limit their listening habits to just that genre. I know I don't. I think this is backed up by the discussions I've seen on Audities regarding glam, punk, UK folk, prog-rock, etc. etc.
IMHO, I really don't see Nicole Atkins as a "Starbucks Rock" artist. I hate to get into generalizing artists, but if I had to, I see Norah Jones as more of a "Starbucks Rock" artist. If you listen to all of Neptune City, you would see that Nicole Atkins is more left of center (and frankly, too hard to categorize) to easily appeal to the Starbucks crowd.
