Hi All - Delurking to post my two cents...

Like Michael Cornely mentioned so eloquently as well as many others I do
not get a chance to read through the digests on a regular basis and was
quite shocked to find the end of Audities on the horizon.

First off thanks to Michael Cox for being at the helm of the good ship
Audities for many years, I had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago at
IPO LA.

It has been many moons since I posted here (The last few years of college,
plus work and keeping up with the honey-do list put a cramp on my free time
:-) but I remember signing up on the Audities list back in the mid 90's
thanks to the coaxing of my old college buddy Mr. Bash and it was an eye
opening experience, so many new bands, so little cash :-)

Over the years I met many of our fellow Auditeers through pop shows like IPO
that were always being discussed here back in the day. Along with trading
tapes then CD's through Audities SOTT. Reading through the last few digests
brought back memories from old timers and insight from newcomers. Hopefully
some of the positive recent energy surge will revitalize the group.

So sign me up for the next generation of "Poptopia" or whatever the new name
ends up, I hope the name/venue/ownership change inspires all of us. I will
miss the old days of Audities members showing up with tee shirts or buttons
at the pop fests. The reviews of new music and great shows, trade lists and
bands posting info about upcoming shows. Sure there were a few flame wars
over the years, but I must admit that I had to smile over some of the old
ones recently mentioned again mentioned.

Thanks again Michael for all the you have done for Audities over the years.

Keith Radich

NP Farrah - Thanks again to this list, this is one band I missed and due to
the recent top 20 of 07 lists I picked up all their CD's and am really
enjoying them :-)
