Hey Sweet-ies (all 18 of you!),

Just dropped off your Mike Chapman bootlegs at the post office, so you
should be seeing them soon. They're in a white flat mailer with a
jewelbox-booklet-size tracklist card.

Let me know if there is any damage or trouble playing. The original disc I
bought is on its way to the first responder, but I'm keeping the ripped
files on hand to make replacements should the need arise. The ripping
was done in uncompressed Exact Audio Copy software, but keep in mind these
are from 35-year-old acetates; we're not talking super-hi-fidelity here.

Many of you have kindly offered compensation, but fuggedaboutit. Accept
them in the spirit of pop fellowship that was Audities (and will be in Pop
Underground or whatever we end up calling it.) And if I ever run across a
boot of "Mike Chapman's Demos for Smokie," you crazee glamheads will be the
first to know.

BTW, there's a pre-printed warning on the CD mailer to AVOID EXPOSURE TO ALL
MAGNETIC FIELDS. Presumably, this refers not just to their new "Distortion"
release, but to "69 Love Songs" and all that came before. Do you think it's
still okay to listen to Future Bible Heroes, the 6ths or the Gothic
Archies? ;-)
