First of all, thanks to Steve Durben and his Twins for letting Johan Santana go to the Mets, my all-time fave team. Now if only Mr. Angelos would close the Erik Bedard deal with the Mariners, I'd feel like my 2 fave teams made out big-time in deals within a week of each other.
Second, why all the speculation about whether to admit Bob to a new list? We haven't heard from him recently, and he may not even want to be a part of a new group. There was so much vitriol in his one post that I don't know why anyone who could author it would want to be around the people it was directed at. I say, the "admin board" should decide on the rules of admission, and leave it at that.
Third, as far as a list name, I could happily support two of the nominees thus far. I *really* like Pop Underground, which is simple, direct, clear, and descriptive. But even better, to my ears, is Poptopia. It sounds like a place where I wanna live.
By the way, this is a heckuva Super Bowl.
