Has no one mentioned "I Don't Wanna Talk About It," any number of versions of which will induce a waterfall of tears?

I do remember a similar thread and I probably said the same thing. But I have to go with the three Jimmy Webb songs covered by Glen Campbell: "By the Time I get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman",and "Galveston".Of the three "Lineman" is my favorite for getting to me.
A lot of the Brian Wilson and Ray Davies songs already mentioned .Someone brought up Prefab Sprout and I would add "When love breaks down" by them.
Also Todd Rundgren's " Believe in me" from "Runt".
Because I have been playing this a lot lately, John Stewart's haunting take on "Try to Remember" from "The Fantastics" on Kingston Trio's "16". Always loved it and now it resonates even stronger.
