I would suggest Pop Underground.  It's already semi-viable as a term 
(All Music Guide has it listed as one of their genre descriptions, 
applied to many Audities-friendly bands) and it gets the point across 
neatly that this is pop in the sense that we use it, not in the sense 
that it's more often used in the mainstream, where "pop" tends to 
mean, say, Britney.  I'd be happy with Pop Overthrow as well, if 
there's a groundswell there.
