I've run groups on everything from Yahoo, UNIX systems, and Google Groups.
My favorite, to date, is definitely Google Groups. They allow for standard
mailing list-type actions with easy administration. Moreover, it allows
members to receive emails in regular form, digest, or just to use the Google
Groups interface to navigate.
Knowing Google, there is also a good API for Google Groups, which means that
if we wanted to extend some of our posts from the list to other areas like
websites or widgets (iphone, dashboard, etc.), it would be relatively easy
to do so.
I'd like to help in whatever capacity you guys see fit. I've really enjoy
being a member of this community (albeit, a silent one) and would love to
see it continue.
