Mike,

Bill Holmes and I sexchanged a few emails this morning about the possibility of using the existing SOTT YAHOO group as an alternative, since there are already 70 plus people signed up on the group. We also thought, since neither of us has time to be a full time admin, that maybe it would be better to have a Board of Administrators (he called it a judicial counsel) for issues that may arise. We both used your name as someone we would want on the Board if we were to proceed.

I have to go ref indoor soccer, but wanted to get your thoughts?

Bill

The Big Takeover Yahoo Group became a much more quite place when thebigtakeover.com's website added a forum site. What I don't like about forums is that you have to log into a bunch of different folders. I prefer a list where you can get in your e-mail, either e-mail by e-mail or digest form.

>I definitely think that Audities had a heyday, when there was a convergence of great artists and folks like Bruce Brodeen and David Bash were riding that wave and getting the music into our mailboxes and ears. Like most "scenes" this couldn't last, and the list has never had the exact same energy.

>But that doesn't mean it doesn't have value. This last toxic thread was started after a response to a post extolling the talents of Nicole Atkins. Oddly enough, she is my favorite artist that I discovered in 2007 because of this list. I'm about 98% certain that she would have never made my radar without this list. Learning about something like that which I love so much is reason alone, for me, to have this list continue, or a new list spring up to take its place.
