Turns out there are 2 records in the top-10 in Shake Some Action that I owned but hadn't ever played (or maybe I played them once and filed them but also maybe not.) Songs From the Film and Big White Lies (although on the former I did own a vinyl ep that included some of the tunes.) So I pulled them out and wouldn't you know it, with the peer pressure of the top-10 ranking in SSA, now I like them! Cool!

Also I didn't have World So Bright, although I did have Illiterature. Just got WSB from lala and while I like it, if not for the high ranking I probably would have written it off as generic. But of course that #9 ranking makes me LOVE it!

I was a huge BoDeans fan circa '86-'92 (still am in fact.) Saw them at a show in a gymnasium in some community college in Jersey in '91, maybe 200 people were there. Great gig, you had to walk through the student union to get to it. The opening band was Adam Schmidt, and he had Tommy Keene on guitar. That was a lot of pop talent in one room.
