There was that ep shortly after Field Day that had a live version of Elvis's
"Little Sister" plus 3 or 4 Field Day tracks remixed (un-Lilliwhited) and
that was pretty good, the remixes sown a different light on the songs.
Although I love Field Day. I've read somewhere that most true MC fans had
come to believe over time that Field Day was the best MC record, as opposed
to the first one. To me they're different-- the first is more classic in
the Buddy Holly sense of classic; the second one more dreamy and wistful--
but I love 'em both. I wish I still had a turntable because I'd love to go
play Field Day right now the way God intended-- on vinyl. That record
defined summer '83 for me, even more so than Synchronicity or the Bowie
record with "Let's Dance."
