Though it was to become one of my all-time top 20, my purchase of MODERN
TIMES was actually a "consolation prize." The shop was all out of the LP I
went in there for: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.
While I had heard and liked P,P & E's "Nostradamus" (all 9 minutes at 43
seconds of it) a couple of times, my main attraction to the album was the
cool rendition of Marvel Comics' Dr. Strange on the cover.

Comics geekery can lead down odd paths...
