Gotta admit...'Gran Jukle's Field' was not a home run
for me either...at least, not at first.

The homages came on a bit strong this time and it took
a lot of playing the Nines' new CD in the car to warm
up to the record. I still like the last one much more,
but do find 'Gran Jukle's Field' to be a solid release
after all the listening effort. Just took a little
longer to get into it, is all.

Interesting note about the disco-inspired pop tunes -
one of the drummers Steve works with, Craig Lapsley,
plays in a wildly successful disco cover act called
the Travoltas.

Now, you wanna talk about a record I wish I would've
tossed out the car window...the new Rilo Kelly. Yuck!
Anyone interested in getting a barely-played CD,
please let me know.

Bill
