I actually had the chance to see City Boy at some college in London in
early October 1976. I loved the folky aspects of their first album, so
the fact they were featuring a lot of tunes from their second (more
proggy) album took away some of my enjoyment. Still, they presented
themselves quite well that night.

Not the same Steve Gadd as the drummer who started with Mangione (with
Tony
Levin - how's THAT for your first rhythm section?) and still plays with
Paul
Simon and on a gazillion sessions.

City Boy RULES. Still love all of it but YOUNG MEN GONE WEST is
stunning!
