Relentless positivity and an inability to take even relatively mild
criticism about specific issues (such as "weak and flat" singing,
which would indeed be a problem on an album in a style as
vocals-forward as power pop) are the quickest route to complete
irrelevance for any scene. If people need a claque, they can buy one,
but Audities does not exist to reflexively cheer every element about
every album that has a Rickenbacker on it.
