Well...another year of listening to music while at work and online. There were a lot of albums requesting my personal time in the car and at home. A lot of really good albums too. As in previous years, my year end list continues to have less power pop than I expect when it comes to being on a list like Audities. If Randy Newman, Shelby Lynne or Rachael Yamagata released their albums in 2007 - I'm sure they would be fighting for my number one slot. If Robbie Rist put out his long awaited solo album - I'm sure he'd top the list. If The Bangles put out an album or if Susanna Hoffs and Matthew Sweet came out with the second volume to "Under The Covers"...so many IFs...

Some of the titles below match albums on the "Most Airplay" list from my job which is really long but if you're interested in checking it out just to see how out of touch we are with other radio stations here's the link:

I should add that I recently had Mandy Moore on as a radio guest discussing her album "Wild Hope" and two more artists on the above list will be guests on my radio show this Saturday afternoon in Hawaii. Singer-songwriter Lucy Schwartz and Seth Swirsky from The Red Button. If you haven't picked up a copy of "Shake Some Action: The Ultimate Power Pop Guide" - it does come with a CD of some nice musical nuggets. I just got my copy from Not Lame and I will definately be playing Seth Swirsky's song "Faraway" from the disc during the show.
