Actually, we have a store here called Sonic Boom, owned by a really cool couple originally from the States.
  I do go in there for used records, CD's, and DVD's, but rarely, since I've been spoiled by being able to find damn near everything I want on the net at a reasonable price and no hassles.
   
  I miss record stores that had bins of the latest albums, the hit 45's on the wall, and those great listening booths. That, coupled with the owners/staff that LOVED music and would turn you on to stuff you hadn't heard before...well,,,those were the days.

No good independent stores where you are? Sure, FYE is a wasteland, but Easy
Street and Sonic Boom here in Seattle are still doing well. (The used CD
shops aren't doing so well, though, and have been forced to diversify or die
(hello Cellophane Square).)
