Um, I hope it's better than 'Hang On Mike' cause that CB platter was a bit of a downer for me. The album I'm dying for is the aborted self-titled Candy Butchers disc on the Blue Thumb label - easily the best power-pop album that was never released.

I bought MV's new album "Lurch" through his website.
It is really great. Right now I can't tell if this is
my fav MV album yet, but it definitely is right up
there with "Hang On Mike" in my book. It has
everything that Viola does so well, from plaintive
ballads to jangly Beatlesque pop.

Mike always has an mp3 or two available on his
site...I downloaded what turned out to be "Girly Worm"
and immediately bought the album...a great slab of
"Penny Lane" style pop.

Mike wrote some of the great Dewey Cox songs (like "I
Hate You Big Daddy"). I hope he makes a bucket full of
money so he can keep making gems like this...
