I am with you Mr Holmes,

I remember the days when one could not avoid Hootie music even if you wanted to. It was horrible. I knew that they were frauds but no one else seemed to care about it. Hootie would have been a band that would have one American Band Idol if there had been such a thing..music with no soul. I also remember when the lead singer started appearing on tv shows singing american classics ala recent rod stewart. I don't hate them as people but I they had no soul!.

I also put the Counting Crowes and that hippie band..what was their name?..the band with the riffs that got played to death..the lead singer had one of those hippie goatees..oh well..i am sure some you will remember..

the most fascinating thing is that these bands really began to feel that they were really good and artists..and not just lucky bar bands..
