As many of you know I recently moved south...way south...In any event, I decided to only ship a portion of my collection down to Argie with me. I ended up packing all my reggae recoreds, cds and tapes and taking them with me. I packed all my rock'n'roll, etc and sent them to my brother for safe keeping until I return to the states in a few years.
For Xmas, to my great surprise, my brother had taken and burned a significant portion of my collection to a new 160 G Ipod. Now, he didn't burn every CD. What he basically did was to play a cd and determine what songs he liked then burned those songs. If he realized that he liked a significant portion of a cd, he then burned the whole thing. While my brother's tastes are a little different than mine, it is not a big deal because he was using my collection as his base. So, by default, I will like most of what he has burned. At the end of the day, he managed to load over 7000 songs on the Ipod! He still has about three boxes to go!
What a great gift!
