Subject Gabe and the airport remark

I was planning on just staying out of this whole discussion, since as a gay man, I probably could be percieved as being biased on what I think is or is not a homophobic remark. I personally hate political correctness, and I have to admit that I chuckled *a little* when I read that Gabe's joke about the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. After thinking about it though, I guess I found the remark more stupid than offensive. The idea that gay men (or closeted US senators looking for love in the wrong places) only listen to "wimpy" music that doesn't RAWK is laughable.

Don't get me wrong...I know many queens that will scream themselves silly over Celine/Barbara/Judy, etc. It's just that this particular queen loves both the wimpy stuff AND the harder stuff. And that has nothing to do with my sexual orientation.

My 2 cents,
Mark E.
