I think his first album "Home Free" is a very good album (3/4ths of it 
anyway). It somehow seems different then his other discs (much quieter 
overall). That said, his next two had some fine tracks too (IMO). 

The discussion of lady's loving him reminded me...
I did see him live once right around the time he was starting to get 
radio play. Anyway, this young woman in the audience yells out "I LOVE 
YOU DAN". And in what seemed very sincere and yet slightly admonishing 
tone he replied "But you don't even know me".
