Admittedly, my meetings with Phil Collins were brief. I worked in radio in
the sakes department of KJOY-AM in Stockton CA, so I'd get into the
occasional "meet n greet" situation with different acts that I cared about.

When I first met the guys in Genesis it was 1984 (?)---and Phil was a real
sweetheart. The rest of the guys (Banks, Rutherford, Stuermer and Thompson)
were all very cordial, too, but maybe not as comfortable in the spotlight as
Phil. Stuermer's a bit more outgoing than the other three.

These guys really never aimed for the personal spotlight (with the exception
of PC). They wanted to be songwriters---and liv performance was something
that came out of the songwriting.

But in my experience, they were all nice guys.
