Home And Away by Del Shannon?! It has been called the British Pet Sounds.
If you haven't heard this album, it's full of great baroque, melodic pop
songs. I highly recommend it. Just ask Stevie Kat Durben!
Also Billy Nicholl's-Would You Believe is another obscure gem in this vein
worth checking out.
