I've never seen it available for download anywhere. It's been out of
print for years and was only available in Japan. I bought my copy from a
Japanese dealer on eBay years ago and it's worth every penny.
Along those same lines, while Owsley's debut gets lots of love, I
actually like his Semantics partner's (Millard Powers- who used to be in
an early band with Ben Folds and now tours with Amy Grant) only solo
release much better. Like Owsley, one of the songs on Powers' disc were
also on the Semantics album. Unfortunately, Powers' release (out in `99
I believe) was out only on the mp3.com label and was in print for a very
short amount of time. If you're tracking down the Semantics album, you'd
be doing yourself a favor by also looking for the Millard Powers

More on Mr Borack's inestimable tome ....
I've been digging around on the interwebby thing looking for some of
these
top 200 albums previously unknown to me (for example - D.L. Byron,
Thurman, Sinceros, The Numbers, Game Theory). One album has such a
spectacularly pedestrian cover of "Bits and Pieces" it HAS to be heard
("Add Up" by The Numbers). Surprisingly ( or is it ... ?) most of them
are pretty easy to find. However one escapes all my efforts - Powerbill
by the Semantics. Does anyone know if this one is available online for
downloading?
Also, the book doesn't have an easy-reference index of the top 200 ...
is
one available anywhere?
