Where did they play, and did they play Starbelly tunes, as well as
Myracle Brah?? Thanks.
Be seeing you,
Bill
I reply:
Hey Bill,
They played at Seacrets Nightclub
(http://www.seacrets.com/seacrets/hireshome.htm). Warning: nightmare
website, but there you have it.
They played, I think, 12 or so Myracle Brah songs (there were 10 on the
setlist and they played a couple extra), no Starbelly songs that I
noticed. Greg S. told me that they've got a batch of new songs nearly
ready, but they're having a wee bit of trouble getting them properly
finished up. He was REAL hesitant to even guess at a release date for
the next Starbelly record.
Did everybody already know this but me? Andy Bopp says that Myracle Brah
is an Irish term for "Miracle Baby". Is that true? He just said it in a
local newspaper article, where he also off-handedly agreed to something
like "Yeah, I know we oughta change the name to <and then he named
something generic with "The" in the title>". Pretty funny.
In case anyone else on list has the same cold that I've got, you should
know that we're all getting together next week in D.C. to shoot each
other in the foreheads. Come join us, won't you?
Achoo, sniff sniff, cough. Excuse me. I feel like I'm looking through
the world through sunglasses with vaseline smeared on the lenses.
