I'm fascinated that seeing them live made you MORE of
a fan. My god, Lavender Diamond are the first band
EVER EVER I have actually heckled! If you are the
opening act and your set is limited, please don't
START THE SET ranting about plastic bags for more than
10 minutes. I have never been so annoyed by a
performer in my life. When she tried to get us to all
hold hands, I went to the restroom and had a lovely,
and far more enlightening, chat with the attendant in
there.
I do believe, somewhat, the sincerity of the singer
girl, but since they are local to me I have heard
other things about the background guys and the
formation of the band. Call me a cynic. . .
The fact that this novelty act is signed to Matador
really sticks in my craw. There is no longevity to
what they are doing. Typical Silver Lake hipster
bullshit.
