Just kidding.
I am surprised Brendan Benson was totally overlooked. I would have at least mentioned him or the Raconteurs in the bubbling under category
Personally I would have mentioned the Fletcher Pratt who sadly are overlooked in their own hometown as well as Jack Kittel who first recorded Psycho (You think I'm psycho don't you mama?) in Sparta (nearer to Grand Rapids than Del Shannon's Coopersville) as well as Tommy James and the Shondells who were from Niles (also home the Luv'd Ones-one of the very first all girl rock bands).
Kudos for mentioning His Name is Alive ,Bob Seger System- 2+2 (proof that Seger once rocked righteously) and the Gories (Godfathers of the whole 90s + Detroit rock scene (Dirtbombs,White Stripes,Von Bondies,Go,etc) )
