Anyone who wants a good perspective on punk,
I'd recommend these great DVDs...
- We Jam Econo: The Story of The Minutemen
- Decline of Western Civilization; The Punk Years
- PIST... the Sex Pistols expose is a good giggle as well.
I'd also recommend the book "We Got The Neutron Bomb: The Untold Story of LA
Punk" ...an awesome, in-depth historical perspective from the late 60s to early
80s on all the people who lived it.....from Iggy, to Rodney B., Kim Fowley and others.
As for Adam Clayton...
He's a meat n' potatoes bass player, like about 80% of them! I don't see it
as good *or* bad...it just is what it is, and he happens to do it in the
biggest rock band on the planet. Good for him!
By the way...
I'm still waiting for Bob Segarini's favorite albums released *since* 1982
:-)
