If it were up to me...I'd just file Hootie under "sucky" :-)

Springsteen's always been over-rated in my book.
If I wanted to hear about the plight of middle America
I'd rather listen to Lou Dobbs.

As for Waits and Dylan...
The notion that actual SINGING is a mere "suggestion" is.....well
.....just a big turn-off.
