Well, the Click Five were deliberately designed to appeal to the 
teenybop set: there was a rather fascinating article about them to 
this effect in the Bloston Globe when the first album came out.  Their 
manager/Svengali, Wayne Sharp, was the guy behind Candy, Kyle Vincent 
and Gilby Clarke's '80s power pop band, and he was the one behind 
their image and sound.
