I'm like you, for the most part. It's unusual for me to find a live disc 
that I think is as good as the studio work. But there are bands that are 
just better live, I think. A few come to mind:

    * Graham Parker. As great as he is in the studio, you haven't lived
      until you see him live.
    * Cheap Trick. I don't know. Nothing has ever topped Budokan for me.
    * Jason & the Scorchers. I'm not sure why they ever did anything BUT
      play live.
    * Catherine Wheel. Actually, they probably weren't better live, but
      they were certainly as good. Bastards never did a live CD, though.

I'm sure there are others....
