 That is a huge problem with punk. People have such misconceptions
about what it really means or was about. 
 In a recent issue of SPIN they interviewed "punks" from the 
UK as well as different location in the US. Seems the only 
commonality was that punk was about doing your own thing. 
 I am sure some will say I am oversimplifying things,
but when you really look at the varied type of bands that were
called punk it does make some sense.
