Doing just fine I would think. They'd be no more 'poorer' in their life experience than I am for having missed out on living without NASCAR every minute of my life.....or watching every incarnation of Star Trek for the past 40 years.....or Bingo at the Legion Hall every Sunday night.
To think that because someone doesn't get music makes them any less fulfilled is over-stating music's impact on the average Joe's life.
My daughter likes music. My son barely tolerates it. Both are happy kids whose interests aren't based on what song's in the iPod at the moment.
They may grow up to be botanists or cyclones chasers. And music may play no part in any of it. As much as I'd love them to have the rich history my wife and I have had listening to music our lives, I'm okay if they don't. It just makes their life experiences different...not deprived.
